Windows Live Movie Maker: .jpg pics do not display in slideshow but movies do?

When I add transitions to the slideshow, they show while playing but the pics do not? The program seems to be working ok other than that. Vista Home Premium

    You need to make sure the pictures are .jpg (.jpeg) format. WLMM can import .jpegs without a problem. Right-click the picture file and choose Properties from the drop-down menu. Note the file name extension (format).

    If it is an actual .jpg (or .jpeg) then something is amiss with your WLMM program. Go to Windows Live Movie Maker, download and install the program again.
