Well the Greeks created all of their myths, so their cultures; i.e; their beliefs, values and even views on sex, love etc. have been reflected in the myths.

The Greeks have also written myths about possible real-life events, such as the Trojan War and the exploits of possible real-life heroes and kings. So there is some possible reality in the myths, they may not be merely a reflection of the culture, but historical documentation.

Therefore, the culture of the Greeks has heavily influenced their mythology, because it has possible historical accuracy, and the myths wewre written BY Greeks. I suggest reading up on Greek mythology, and the similarities will become obvious.

I could write an entire essay on the topic, so it may be easier to read a few texts on the issue

Greek mythology has influenced our culture today in a big way. In the Greek times the people worshiped these gods/ goddesses like people worship god today. Different times calls for a different worship. The gods were based off of everyday things. For instance Aries the god of war, Athena goddess of wisdom, Aphrodite goddess of love etc.. The gods were broken down by emotions and physical limitations. Each god was different and the people choose the gos that best suited them. Not only did the Greek gods play a part but also the creatures of the Greek times. Pretty much the Greek culture eventually changed into just one god and the animals of today. The beliefs back then were he same as ours is today. They just had more gods to worship and abide by.
