Skiing in Killington?
I'd like to get a vacation rental for a week at Killington Mountain. How do I know what is close to the mountain? Is the nightlife in town close to the mountain too? Is it easy to get around or would we be driving a lot? Any information about the area would help. THANK YOU!

I work for Killington. Here's a link to the regional lodging list:
http://www.killington.com/winter/plan/lodging/all
Under the name of each property it gives the approximate distance to the lift.
In regards to the nightlife, the entire resort is located on a 4.5 mile strip called Killington Road. Once here, there is shuttle service all through out the area for only $2 a ride. Even if you have a car, I would suggest the shuttle. You won't have to worry about drinking and driving or other people who are drinking and driving. If you have further questions feel free to call the reservation center at 800-621-6867.

The night life in town is all on the access road that leads to the main lodge and main part of the Mountain. So I would say any of the rentals near the main lodge would be your best bet.. nothing is really walking distance.. well it might be but its all on one road pretty close to the main mountain: Ski Shops, bars, restaurants music venues.. the whole nine yards. To get to stuff at the bottom of the road you may have to drive cuz its a couple miles long.

If you stay at the sunrise condos you can ski right up to them every day as there is a snomaking trail that runs to them
The Killngton Grand Resort Hotel is also close to the mountain
