I'm getting my tonsils and adenoids out?

So i need my tonsils and adnoids out, im 13.

And im suuuuuper scared, can you explain your experience to me?

How much did it hurt? How long did it take to heal? did it hurt to drink,eat,talk etc?

What kind of foods did you eat after you got them out that didnt hurt?

    Don't worry! My son got his adenoids, tonsils removed, nasal cavity cauterized to open passage, AND tubes put in his ears all at the same time! He was a real trooper and I won't lie though, he was in a lot of pain after. He could only take small sips of cool water, not cold as that burned right after. He was able to eventually have jello, and pudding, then popsicles, ice cream, and room temp soup. He was very stuffed up as the adenoid surgery healed, just remember even though you will want to blow your nose you can't, just dab lightly. It took him about 3-4 days to start feeling better and a good week before he was back to his old self.
