i put hard drive into an external case and i can access the all the files except for the ones in the administration folder. i had it password protected. how can i get around it. its windows xp

This is the wrong section, and probably no one here is going to know how to fix that. You should have posted this to one of the computer sections.

You can recover pics from crashed hard drive with asoftech photo recovery software. Just put the hard drive into hard drive case and then connect it to computer as external hard drive.
