Hydrogen gas and chloride gas react to form hydrogen chloride. H2 (g) + Cl (g) --> 2HCl (g). If 2 mole of hydrogen gas are mixed with 4 mole of chlorine gas, how many moles of hydrogen chlorine will be produced???

    You'll only have 4 moles of HCl assuming the reaction continues to completion. Since your limiting reagent is H2 gas, you do not need to consider the amount of Cl gas; thus, since 1 mole of H2 gas yields 2 moles of HCl, just multiple 2 moles of H2 by 2 to get the amount of HCl.
