XBOX red ring of death?
my xbox got a red ring of death. BUT...my the next day my brother played for an hour anda half....it worked fine later when i just checked it to see if it works...but later it got the red ring. is it possible that my red ring is temporary and i will still be able to play fro 3 hours tonight with a friend...with out getting the ring...? (werre matchmaking in MLG baby!)
If a put a fan by it would it help at all
do you think with the red ring going on and off iwill be able to play like 3 or 4 hours tonight?

It's overheating.
Go buy a interner cooler.
It's just another fan that hooked up to the back/side of the xbox and cools it down.
My xbox did the same thing for a while.
IT may also be the power supply.
But you do not have the red ring of death.
If you did it wouldnt even turn on anymore.
It's just an overheating issue.
Intercooler or at least put a house fan on it while you play it should help keep it cool at least a little. also keep it off the carpet as it heats up much faster on carpet.

I have heard that they use new heatsinks to try and dissipate the heat better, but the real problem was them not using enough solder at the joints of the hardware connectors. Whether or not they are using more solder, i do not know. But they do have a lower failure rate than before.

It might work, it might not. I have had this happen to my XBOX. Send it to XBOX, they will fix it for free most likely. and ship it for free too.

well, your rrod is probably from overheating. if you let it cool down, you will be able to play it.
