Dell XPS 1710 upgrade to Windows 7 Sound problems?
I recently upgraded my Dell XPS 1710 to windows 7 and have run into an issue with the sound. Whenever I go to play music or there is any sound, such as windows logging in, the sound comes out very choppy and delayed. I have tried looking for drivers to update and all I've found it that they are all up to date. I installed the 32-bit version of Windows 7 and had to do a clean install because I previously had XP. Anyone have any ideas?

anytime you upgrade an operating system, you will have to reinstall the sound card drivers, they are specific to your sound card and should be included on a Dell Resource CD that came with your system...or you can download the drivers from their site:

you will need to choose your model (or enter your service tag) from the drop down list
