HELP! I need a puppy for free in yuba city ca or surrounding area.?

please help, i have been searching for awhile now to find a puppy, they cant be Pitt bull, boxer, lab, or rottweiler . our landlord won't allow those dogs. I am looking for a free dog though, my father won't pay much more than 20 dollars for one, female or male, and hoperfully a puppy or younger than a couple years. please and thank you!

Update:

alright, everyone sending me answers that say "nothing in life is free" or "if you can't afford the dog fee you can't afford the dog." I didn't post a question on here to get stupid answers, or people trying to tell me off.,I HAVE had a dog before, I CAN take care of a dog. we have a huge backyard and plenty of dog food, a leash, flea medicine and all that already. My father won't pay for a dog because he doesn't want one to start with. it ME who wants the dog. So please, if you are going ot post an answer that doesn't help me in the least way, keep it to YOURSELF. there's no need to post that stuff, it's unnecessary and rude.

ETA: Do you have a job? Since your dad don't want the dog..it will be you caring for it right? You'll need money to take it to the vet, buy dog food, etc. And sorry, hunny, that's a lot more then just 20 bucks. If your dad don't want one, you shouldn't get one. Wait till you move out...and can afford it on your own.

Ever tried the Classifieds in your local paper? Or craiglist? Some people do give away *Free* animals all the time. No animal is truly free as you have to be able to care for it: food, veterinarian care, toys, treats, etc. All of that is a lot more then $20 bucks. I know the shots for my puppy were $40 bucks! If you can't afford a small re homing fee or adoption fee, chances are you can't afford a dog or cat.

Spend some time at the Country Club Plaza. Park your car and spend an afternoon/evening walking through the whole district. The buildings and fountains are beautiful. The window-shopping and people-watching can both be fun. If you go early enough in the day, you can eat at a nice restaurant (I love the Cheesecake Factory) off of a lunch menu and save some bucks. If that's still too much, go a block east and grab a bite at Winstead's (a throwback to 1950s style diners) where you can get a steakburger and a float for a reasonable price. The onion rings are killer. Keep going another block east of that, and spend some time at the Nelson-Atkins art museum. They accept donations, but that can be just a buck or two. The Nelson has European and American masterpiece paintings, and examples of ancient and medieval, Asian, and Native American works of art. Speaking of Native American, if you can travel an hour or so west of KC, drop in on some of the local Indian casinos. You don't have to gamble, and there's no cover charge. I would really recommend Harrah's Prairie Band Casino, about 20 minutes north of Topeka. There's always something going on there. They have a great buffet, and also a smaller restaurant where you can a buffalo burger 24/7. In fact, that's another point... the casinos never close. This is also powwow season, and the local tribes will each be sponsoring one over the next couple of months. There's generally a $7-8 a head charge, but you can easily spend a day at one -- or at least all evening. Drive north to Atchison, KS (about an hour from KC); visit the Amelia Earhart Home (a small charge), or the train museum (with many authentic train engines and cars that you can walk through). Take the trolley through Atchison for a tour of the local haunted houses (this town has been called "the most haunted town in America" by the Discovery Channel). Head over to Cabela's. Spend some time walking through their aquarium. See the diorama of the African veldt, the wildlife mountain in the middle of the store, and the hall filled with record-breaking deer antlers. Go to Lawrence, KS and walk up and down Mass Street. This is a shopping and entertainment district for a major university town. Lots to see and do. If you can afford to splurge a little, get lunch at The Mad Greek. Later, work off the Greek food by driving to the public access lookout tower south of town, and climbing to the top. The view is great, and the price is free (except for some huffing and puffing). Just a few ideas.

Nothing in life is free, especially a dog. Even, in the unlikely chance you do come by a "puppy for free," it's going to be severely ill or behaviorally unsound, so you'll be making up for the free acquisition by paying thousands of dollars to the vet or trainer.

Getting the dog is the cheapest part of owning a dog. A large bag of dog food runs more than $20, nevermind a basic annual vet visit. If you can't afford a reasonable adoption fee, you won't be able to afford to care for the dog.

why dont u have a look on petfinder.com or even craigslist for adoptable dogs not free puppies.. theres purebreds and mixes of all sorts on there of dogs in shelters do u really want a free puppy? free puppies and kittens or any dog that is sold cheap or just given away runs higher risks of being placed in an unhealthy unhappy abusive home, unfortunatly people no longer see dogs or cats as living breathing loving animals they are property they come with a net worth if you bought your dog for $1000.00 would you forget to feed it for weeks at a time?

plus free dogs usually arnt very well cared for in their first few weeks have they had their shots have they been checked out by a vet were they even loved?

look for adoptable pets because theirs looking for u

If you can't pay for your own dog or its food, you shouldn't get a dog. Sorry but it is the truth, you need to make sure YOU can be responsible for the dog.

good luck getting a puppy for free, and if you dad isn't willing to pay the price that a puppy is worth you shouldn't even consider one at all, he or she will end up in the pound or on the street if he isn't willing to pay for the dog he isn't willing to take care of it, and if your gone he will not not take care of it for you.

No one NEEDS free puppy, and chances are, if your dad won't pay for the dog, he won't pay for the food and cost.
