I'm having some trouble with my iPhone?

Ok so I downloaded some music for Limewire and it is showing up in my itunes music but when I sync my iPhone with it and it says it is complete, there still isn't any music on the Iphone. Is there some redtape I need to go through to make it sync those songs since I didn't buy them through itunes and I don't plan on it?

    yeah check the format or burn the music to a cd then rip it into itunes

    Check if its the right format. Make sure it's either .mp3 or .acc. any other format an iPhone can't play.
