Can someone give me info and advice about living and working in west Scotland?
Hubby and I are planning on moving there maybe next year. Currently in Dublin. Could people recommend job websites and rental accommodation websites please. I know unemployment is much lower there than it is here now but do you need experience even for low paid jobs such as cafes and take away places or shops? I am in the healthcare business but haven't worked in it for a long time and want a change of direction. All genuine help most welcome. Thanks.
Sorry, we would be moving somewhere around the greater Glasgow area and no further north than Dumbarton probably. Commutable distance of the city, but not the city itself.

Whereabouts in West Scotland? You're a bit vague. The west coast of Scotland is 300miles long (and thats only as the seagull flies :) Its a bit pointless me given you info for this (Ayrshire) bit if you're talking about moving much further up the west coast.
Edit: then in that case these may be of use to you.

For job agencies, google these
Kelly Services, Search Recruitment, Stafffinders, Reed Employment, Select Appointments. for their websites.

Unemployment in West Scotland is much the same as the rest of the U.K. dire at best If I were you I would wait until Broon has lost the next General Election, and the economic outlook is what one might call "brighter"
