Do you think abortion should be legal? Why or why not?
You know, I know a guy who was a crack baby. He really is a great guy.
What I'm trying to bring up is that it didn't hurt him in the long run. He is (as far as I can tell) a very normal and healthy person.

God no. It is totally murder. Doctors don't even inject the fetus with something to reduce its pain because then they'd be admitting it's a living thing. But it is. It is scientifically proven that the undeveloped nerve cells of a fetus are much more sensitive and feel more pain then anyone living outside the womb, and in a video of an abortion, you can clearly see the baby trying to scream inside the womb and trying to avoid the doctors hands as he tears the baby apart limb-from-limb. For god sakes, even if it's rape, the woman can put the thing up for adoption! Couples will PAY for medical bills! People who HAVEN'T been raped are just completely selfish because pregnancy is 100% avoidable in the first place! You shouldn't end a life just because it's more convenient to YOU!
Oh and did you hear? Obama wanted to legalize partial-birth abortions where you kill the baby as it's being born. Isn't that lovely of our wonderful president? Good thing it wasn't legalized. Probably will be one day judging by how ****** up this country is.

Aborting a living fetus should have the same concerns as removing your leg: it's your body, it's your choice. Just because a fetus could, in theory, mature into a viable human being does not make it a "human" for the purpose of the law. Those who make the broadly inaccurate statement that abortion is "murder" have not studied the law.
Personally, the issue does not affect me one way or the other, although it is true that making something a crime will, by definition, create more criminals, so there had better be a pretty good reason for limiting the rights of an individual.

No..it is murder. Murder should never be legalized, whether it be abortion or the death penalty.
Abortion is embracing the death of another as a convenience.
Edit: Out of curiosity, I wonder how many people who support abortion under the "freedom of choice" argument support my freedom to choose whether I buy health insurance. In Roe v Wade, Justice Blackmun claimed abortion was a Constitutionally protected private choice....yet now many abortion supporters want to take away that same private choice on insurance purchases.

No it should not be legal. All it does is lower the value of a human life, without any regard to that life's potential. I think there are hundreds of other choices for preventing pregnancies, which I am okay with. The first being abstinence. Then condoms, the pill, the morning after pill, adoption (in the case of getting pregnant), and did I mention abstinence. But if you are responsible enough to have sex, then you are responsible enough to care for the results. In the cases of rape, I say we should being spending our tax dollars on caring for the mother, getting her therapy to overcome the ordeal, until she has the baby, which will then be put up for adoption. It's better than the menial pet project that we are spending our money on.

Well it is legal and it should stay that way because a woman's body is a woman's body. If she doesn't want to conceive, a group of religious fanatics can't piss and moan until a law gets passed to make abortion illegal.
We'd just go back to a place where women were having "back-alley abortions."
If you don't like abortions then don't have one, but don't keep other people from making that choice.

I think abortion is a very sad thing, but I do believe it should be legal. It is a very, very complex issue.
I support reproductive freedom and civil liberties for all people. The option of abortion and a woman's PERSONAL CHOICE does not infringe upon YOUR PERSONAL CHOICE.

If you were an adult during the time prior to the passing of Rove v Wade you would not have to ask that question. I for one do not wish to see the return of backroom coat hanger medical procedures. Too many families lives were destroyed then, the American public deserves better.

yes.
1. It is a decision you will have to live with for the rest of your life.
2. think about all the crack babies there would be if it was illegal. Crack whores should not be allowed to bring a child into this world if they cannot care for it.
3. I believe that it should be a choice. I don;t want someone to tell me what I can and cannot do to my body. i would not bring a child into this world if it is going to suffer.

The state should have no say over women's own bodies. If you give the gov't the power to force women to carry a fetus to term against their will, you also give gov't the power to force them to get abortions against their will.
