    10)Zatoichi

Zatoichi is Japanese, but action so Americans can enjoy it. If not for language barrier I would have a few Russian films there. If you are good with the internet and can use torrents, try to get your hands on Kukushka, and The Return, with English subtitles. Both are amazing movies that are pure emotion, so it wont be too hard to understand. Especially the Return which had won many awards at Cannes. I think Russian cinema is wonderful considering it is very underfunded and yet has many candidates at almost every award. Amricans are the only ones who don't recognize it because old geezers who are still in Cold War vote in the Oscars.
