Why is yahoo trying to violate me from a 2 year old question?
in what year where blacks given the right to vote? this ? was posted 2 years ago and yahoo violated me for this.Yahoo is responcible for security and privacy and evidentaly they have violated there own rules and maybe some laws.
No privacy is correct. But to go back two years and get a closed for discussion question? That shows racial and political hate.
Ho does some one report an answer to a resolved Question. No I think a yahoo monitor is fishing ,
The average contributor cannot reactivate questins that are RESOLVED.

Yahoo doesn't really pay attention to the question. Fairies are a work and if two or more of them click that report button it's pretty much guaranteed to be deleted. You can always appeal it though there will be a link in the email or here is an appeal form http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/first_app...

I'm under the impression that the system is mostly automated. If someone doesn't like you, perhaps of some stand you took while answering a question, they can start to shadow-stalk you, and start reporting questions as violations. Then the system automatically slaps you.
But there also seems to be a human element at work here too. I've received three violations for answers. The first was in response to one of those very snotty type pseudo-questions that is more a statement than an inquiry. I stayed on the upper road, but responded to the points in the question/statement from a different perspective...BAM! a few hours later this was reported as a violation. I really think someone (possibly the person posting the question) just didn't like my position not so much as my answer and reported me. I let it slide, but when virtually the same thing happened later, I appealed it, and the violation was overturned in like 30 minutes or so.
But the third time, it was just one of those silly questions and I made a nonsensical response and again BAM! violation notice. I appealed that one too, but in this case the report was upheld...technically I was in violation of Yahoo policy, but then, so are about 40% of the questions/answers here, and I think this was reported and then upheld by some Yahoo Answers! yahoo who is taking their rightousness and their job just a little Too Seriously.
That doesn't mean I don't see the report process as useful, because I do use it too. I routinely report spam in answers and racism in questions, for instance. But in your case, I think it's another case of Someone Somewhere Taking Themselves Too Serious.

It's someone who reported you. Yahoo doesn't care what you post as long as nobody reports you. You should have said African-American. That would not be a violation. I had the same thing happened to me but my answer was referring to the paladin, a fictional character, in Diablo 2.
There is no privacy once you post a question or answer. It becomes available for everyone to see except for questions where you block people.

Crazy! Possibly trolls reported it. Internet trolls are people who create problems for others on different sites while contributing nothing positive. There are many on Yahoo Answers, they report extremely small violations, which in many cases aren't even violations; they also give "thumbs down" constantly often with no valid reason. Because of trolls, to protect yourself, if you haven't done so already, you may find it best to edit your info to keep your questions and answers hidden that makes it tougher them to stalk you around the site. If necessary even change your avatar and i.d. or post in other than your usual categories. Trolls often hang out at controversial sections such as religion, homosexuality and polls, when someone posts what they disagree with, they report them. You can of course appeal but unless you are really sure you have been wronged forget it.

This is not a Democracy where you have rights and due process. Yahoo is a liberal organization who will do as they please when they please to do it and what you think matters not.
