Are second hand games worth getting?
I have a Nintendo DS Lite and there's a second hand game shop next to my house. Is it better to buy new games or second hand ones?

Second hand games are ok as the technology used to produce them is quite robust. It is more a question of personal choice. I would always prefer new but then maybe I'm a bit of a snob or maybe having to share as a boy has made me selfish. Hmm, thinking on, when I bought my Jaguar games console oh so many years ago, I did buy one or two second hand games for that because new were way too expensive (still are) and I was happy with what I had bought but in the back of my head a tiny voice still says "one day when you are rich you can buy them all brand new" 0.o

Yeah definitely go for second hand games for your DS. Its great value for money buying pre-owned games and they're usually (supposed to be) checked in-store anyway. If it doesn't work soon after your purchase you'll be entitled to return it and get a refund anyway.
The only problems I have had with pre-owned games were with CD-based games and even then it was only a couple of games that had any problem. The DS uses cartridges so you should be fine.

Of course! In fact it's even better for consoles that have games in non-disc formats like Nintendo DS cartridges, as there's virtually no risk of the game format itself being damaged.

I buy second hand from EB Games all the time. Now that I work there, I still do! As long as they are in good shape, why not. It saves me some money lol

As long as there is a reasonable price for the game and its in good condition then yes its worth it

you might as well get second hand games as they work fine as you cant scratch the games coz there not a disk so its basicly the same apart from tehre cheaper!

Yes and no because they can be cheap, but are more likely to be faulty than new ones.
