Anyone read the Odd Thomas series?

We had to pick a nonfiction book that didn't have a movie so I just grabbed this one called "Odd Hours"...I'm just now finding out it's part of a series haha...we Irish have the worst luck. Anyways, I just need to know how the series starts and a brief summary of the other books before this one.

Also if you've read Odd Hours what is the books main climax and conclusion?

I can't find it online and our teacher just sprung it up on us so I would have to read 236 pages of a book tonight and I don't even know wth is going on in it so if anyone could help it will be appreciated!
