Why don't you pay $500 cash and finance the rest on credit? $1000 isn't alot of money and if you don't have that in cash, you may want to rethink the purchase. Do you really need it? It may seem like a deal now, but with finance charges it could end up costing you alot more in the end.

Yes, the extra $500 will be credited to your account and your next balance will reflect that amount. However make sure you pay the $500 on the previous statement and it get credited before you do the charge.

You can request a limit increase, if the Credit card company does that, great!! if not, never go over the limit even by one cent, it will effect your credit rating by over 35 points

no. Just call the customer service number and explain you are making a special purchase and would like a credit limit increase. If you have made your payments timely, they will be happy to do it.
