How do I get my lazy and rude landlord to send someone out to change the light bulbs for the Marquees?
My wife and I had been trying to get our lazy and rude landlord to send someone out to change the light bulbs for the marquee and the sign on top of the roof for over a month now. He keeps on saying that he'll send some one out but nothing.
My wife has a business that handle quite alot of cash on a daily basis and she usually go home around 8-9 clock at night and feels unsafe when walking to her car. The plaza is quite small and almost all of the street lights near us are burnt out.
My wife and I had been nicely calling him and he took advantage of it and put it off; we made angry calls and the guy doesn't do anything either. So how should I handle this and get his lazy *** off and send someone over to fix the light.
Thanks in advance

Send a certified letter and specifically mention that you consider it a safety issue. That ought to get his attention since he does not want to be on the hook for being responsible if something happens, especially after it has been pointed out to him in writing.

The landlord is not responsible for light bulbs. Try a bulb with high lumens, and check that the wattage is compatible with the light fixture (it should be fine). My roommate didn't like the dim bulb in her bathroom so I bought her a new one with the highest lumens I could find and the issue was resolved. It was a 100-Watt bulb with 1600 lumens. It was a few dollars for a 2-pack of the bright bulbs at Target, as opposed to a standard bulb which is cheap.

How about if you get on the lazy *** of your municipality and ask them to replace the burned out street light bulbs ? Unless your lease specifically indicates that the marquee WILL be lit up, you really don't have a leg upon which to stand.
