Have you noticed the rip-off in canned tuna lately?

I just noticed at the supermarket today that the major brands of canned tuna have all gone from a 6 or 6.5 oz can to a 5 oz can, at a similar price! The cans are similar looking so most people probably won't even notice that they are getting 17% less tuna for about the same amount of money! Have you seen this?

Yes, it went from 5.5 ounces to 5 ounces a while ago. Before that, it used to be 6 ounces, and I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure that a number of years ago, cans of tuna were actually 8 ounces, just like bags of chips that are now 5 ounces were originally 8 ounces and coffee used to come in one pound (16 full ounces) instead of 11.5 ounce cans. When they first started giving us smaller packages of coffee, they tried to feed us this crap about the way it was packed, less coffee actually yielded more cups, something about it being vacuum packed and ground finer blah blah blah...

Yes I have noticed, and it's not just tuna. Ice cream containers have been slightly shrunk, Potato chips, the list goes on and on.

Oh yes I have noticed that for a while now...They can't fool us. We are getting ripped off. We still pay the same price for less product..
