    1. Your TV is broken.

    2. You don't want to unnecessarily put wear on, or burn in, your old CRT television that you are attempting to preserve since it will be a collector's item someday in the not too distant future.

    3. You have a crappy 60 Hz LCD TV that makes movies look like utter crap.

    4. You have an old rear-projection TV that is out of alignment.

    5. You like having to get in shush wars with other people who are talking during the good parts.

    6. You only have two watts or less of monaural audio on your TV and would like to be able to actually enjoy the audio of the movie.

    7. You enjoy having to pay unprecedented, outrageous amounts of money for popcorn and drinks.

    8. You like the possibility of sitting down on a seat where someone just spilled their Coke or got popcorn butter all over.

    9. You have extra gasoline in your vehicle that you would like to burn.

    10. You like the film-scratches effect while watching movies.

    11. Why pay $4 to rent a DVD and watch it as many times as you'd like before it's due, when you could pay $11 to watch a movie once?

    12. You don't like having the freedom to pause the movie when you have to pee or poo or answer the phone or do whatever else.

    13. You have a certain movie you want to watch, and it's not yet available on VHS. (or DVD, or Blu-Ray)

    14. Your VCR is broken.

    15. Your DVD player is broken.

    16. Your Blu-Ray player is broken.

Having a crowd of excited movie goers adds energy to the experience. The Star Trek movie, when the Star Wars movies were re-released, New Moon, etc - are a lot of fun in a crowded theater of fans.

(A $600 bean bag... really? Comfy but thats pricy.)

I dont tend to drink, but the new Movico theaters have a full restaurant and bar in the theater. Make for a nice afternoon or evening.

I don't have any. My Home Theater (http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showpost.php?p=31... sounds better than the theater. I have the remote (the almighty pause button) and my cuddle bag (http://www.cuddlebag.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idca... is way more comfortable than movie theater seating.
