Should France be Disqualified from the World Cup in South Africa?

As they are happy to play in the Finals, having qualified through the cheating tactics of their Captain, and the failure of the referee to call an offside in the first place. also FIFA changed the rules of the draw for the playoff matches, two weeks before the Draw. Another Fix.

Update:

How many cheats in the olympics have been stripped of their medals and honour, even after the games are over. The cheating by the French captain, and accepted by France should mean that the team should be disqualified. If France wants to retain it's honour, then they should withdraw. It is as simple as that.

It was a big honour for The French to play against Ireland, as a French I'm disgusted by the French qualification, the match should be replayed without Henry, neither in Ireland nor in France.

If so, I'm pretty sure Ireland would be qualified!

Domenech and Trappatoni should DEMAND to play again...

    Chappy - behave yourself!

Think the FIFA should give the Republic of Ireland a choice; play again, or have Monsieur Henry's goal disallowed. It's just a damned shame France (as good as they are in 'normal' circumstances) will be seen as the New Argies...for 'Falklands' 1982, read 'France 1940-44' (French surrender monkeys) - which the moronic Brits...more English than Irish will want to squeal in South Africa come the World Cup.

They should not allow Thierry henry to play on world cup!

he is the biggest cheater in the history of sports!

In belgium overhere two tennisplayer got a year (!) supstpension cause they made a mistake with there whereabouts bud it was a mistake and they nebver tested positibve or anything. For one of them it was even the fault of the system plug inn that not worked!

comparing to them what Henry did is a lot worse!

If they suspend those two tennisplayers for a year they may ban henry for 3 years for me!

    fifa is ruining football

chelsea-barcelona this may and france-ireland yesterday are evidences that fifa decides which teams have to win a match

barcelona didn't deserve to equalize in the semifinal, there were 4 penalties for chelsea! but fifa didn't want the same final of last year and it's cool to see cristiano ronaldo against messi in final...

excuse me for my bad english, i'm italian and i'm practicing my english because next week i'm going to wales :)

from what i am seeing a lot of french people are embarassed by this. they should offer ireland a replay because they will probably win anyway and gain the respect of everyone. henry should be punished not the whole french team.

Breaking the rules is not cheating!

Otherwise Given cheated in both legs for getting away with 2 penalties! Did he cheat? Of course not! He committed a foul and got away with it. That's just playing the game!

Henry did the same - the only difference was it was a super-clear foul and somehow the refs didn't see it - a travesty for sure, BUT NOT CHEATING.

Come on Ireland you must be gutted - understandably - but don't start defaming your opposition just because you were (very) hard done by!

the irish team should have walked off the pitch and refused to restart after the goal......that would have made a point and would have given more sway in getting the result ammended...........as it stands now the whole thing will blow over

no they shouldn't cheating happens all the time in sport, its up to the refs to spot this and deal with it on the pitch not after the games has finished.

    That's a ridiculous solution.

In my opinion Ireland must ask to replay the game.
