R&R After Basic..........?

I'm enlisting in the army, and I wanted to know how much, if any, R&R I get between basic and AIT.

Depends largely on your BCT end date and your AIT start date.

Believe it or not the Army DOES NOT schedule classes around your need for a little R&R..

Could be as little as one night off to as much as a couple of weeks (highly unlikely btw). If you are a One Station Unit Training (OSUT) MOS you will not get ANY time off.

I went right down the road and started AIT the next day after BCT ended.

Depends on where you had basic, where you'll have AIT, when the classes start etc. My husband had a 24 hr pass between basic and AIT. A friend of ours had a 4 day pass. Another 2 weeks. So no one on here can really answer that for you.

get a choice of 2 weeks after basic then report to AIT (unless your in splitoption program)
