Why do baseball writers always bring up money?

I'm tired of of this writers blaming anything on money. Don't they realize the Yankees won with a core of Posada, Jeter, Pettite and Rivera. All homegrown talent.

Yeah but that's only because they have the money to keep them. Combined they are worth $56M. That is more money than the what the Marlins, Padres, and Pirates used on their teams. Their salaries would also take up 70% of the team salaries on each of the "cheaper" 18 MLB teams.

lol... homegrown talent they could afford to make the second highest played player in pro ball... while having the highest paid player in the game and the highest paid pitcher.

and then they went out an got 3 guys that no one else could have gotten.

Baseball writers bring it up b/c something has to be done about the wealth disparities in baseball before teams start goin broke and no one pays attention anymore to the game b/c they know they yankees will just buy another pennant.

oh and they stuck NY with the bill fr their new stadium while they tossed money to help jerry jones build that new stadium in Dallas.

all there is is money here. that's why they write about it.

True, they did win with some homegrown talent. But they also won with players they spent a ton of money for (CC, Tex, Damon, A-Rod, Burnett, etc)

Writers are flabby fantasizers. They have weird ways of thinking and of voting. We'd all be better off if they had nothing to do with the voting at all.
