What does this dream mean?

I had a dream it is rather complex but help would be grittily appreciated:

There was a huge and terrible war going on, like World War III. It was modern days but everything was old fashioned, the streets, houses, clothing. All the boys (any age including baby's) had to go of and fight in the war whilst every one else stayed. Every one was being kicked out of there house and there money and belongings were being taken. My family didn't exist in the dream, I was one of the lucky people who got given accommodation and food (although barely enough). I think some one who had to go of to fight had made sure and made sacrifices to make sure I was okay, although I'm not sure. So I was put in a small apartment with two other people whom I did not know, they knew each other and had a Large chocolate colored retriever dog whom they loved with all there heart. I was given a bread roll to eat each week (and although it wasn't much it was more then others) so I was still starving and ill.

Every day two carts would go by, one filled with sweet smelling pastry's and sweets and one filled with fresh bread. Although they would go pass I or any one else could not eat them.

One day I walked from one of the rooms onto the balcony where I could see into peoples backyards

in the yard bellow me was a friend whom i haven't seen in years. She was not given food or good accommodation (she had to share 1 room with 5 people) and she just stood in the garden crying with a cat in her arms. I could see her but couldn't call out or help, she could not see me. Every day i would watch her.

One day i walked back into the room and it was completely white with no furniture. there was blood splattered every where and so I shut my eyes so that I could not see what had caused it. My two house mates came in and told me that they had killed the dog, they were so upset, they had killed the dog because they didn't have enough food to feed themselves let alone the dog as well.

The most horrific thing was they way they killed the dog, i wasn't angry at them because it was the war who had killed the dog. It was as if when you wanted something gone the war would kill it in the most horrid and bloody way. I never saw the dog or how the dog had been killed, all I every saw was the blood.

Then it skipped to the end of the war and i was walking down the street with two guys in my class who had luckily survived. I was telling them about the dog and i was crying. They told me to toughen up because in the war it was so much more horrid and they had to kill and saw blood and death every day. But they did not understand how horrible the dog was and the blood....

I am 13 and nothing bad had happened in he last couple of days, I had been having a really really good time with relatives...what could it mean?

Almost all of the elements of your dream indicate you are struggling with some kind of guilt. The indicator is that you were given food and sheltered. The white room that was splattered with blood seems to be something innocent has been tarnished. Ths seems to suggest soemthing innocent in your life has beenaltered in some way. You have suffered or somone close to you suffered a loss of their purity in some way and this affected you.

The war itself is just symbolic of this great change that occurred and because the "boys" were the only ones to fight it, it seems to suggest that boys in your life or a male figure is fighting to bring you through this time.

The dog is usually symbolic of companionship. Because it was killed and not by you, it seems to mean that sone of your friends or acquaintences was hurt in soem way and you were indirectly involved and feel guilt about it.

    Hope I helped :)
