Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

My computer just picked up a virus from one of these questions on M&D. Anyone else have a problem?

This was spyware for sure but my system did shut down. Norton's caught it quickly. Never had this happen on here before. It was one of the silly little "teens" questions too. Is this the future of Yahoo Answers? Anyone know how to report this? Thanks all!

Update:

Edit: My computer is well protected but I still never had the system shut down before.

you know what this is a common problem. you should go to the forum and they will help you with it.

go to the home page and on the left hand side half way down there is a box titled related links. click on forum.

also have a link to the question that gave you the virus.

also you should report the question and in the box put malware. that way it doesn't happen to anyone else. but at least have a link to the person's profile so they can look into it and make sure that person isn't doing it on purpose.

I had this happen about a year ago. I got it from a site that the question wanted me to go to to look at a picture. It sucks, just be careful about where you go.

You actually got Norton to work?

No. Not that I'm aware of. I'm glad Norton caught it for you.

I'd suggest not looking at the pictures!
