Interesting quote that says a lot about our society. We seem to be constantly looking for happiness, trying to find things or places or people who will make us happy and feel satisfied. I honestly believe that when we stop trying so hard to keep up with everything and everybody else and just find the blessings in the small things in life, take the time for the things that truly matter, that's when we find real satisfaction and contentment.

This is a good one, I like it.

In my opinion, it means that everyone seeks happiness in life, but we look for simple distractions, potential highs if you will to make us happy. Ultimately, were not recognizing the bigger more important things. If you live your life only going from one small endeavor to the next in order to make you happy, eventually you'll realize that your not completely happy.

In life you shouldnt need certain things to obtain happiness, unfortuantly too many people realy on those things in life. Its the same reason why one person would not know what to do without their cell phone for one day! Material objects are not as important as we have made them. And we shouldnt lead ourselves into beleving that a specific thing is the key to happiness when really it lies within you. We should all strive for more that and acknowledge the importance of one main thing not all the little things to distract us.

This seems to be a negative quote. Any good quote should be able to motivate. Finding satisfaction among distractions is the basis of success."No man fails if he has done his best" should be a counter to this.

It's cynical, but true for many people. We wander around reacting to whatever is happening at the moment, hoping for satisfaction, instead of staying focused on our higher goals, which alone can lead to satisfaction.
