In Western (Catholic and Protestant) religious art, Jesus is depicted in a very sensual manner, usually extremely attractive, just as you say.

In Eastern (Orthodox) religious art, called icons, Jesus is depicted in a much more abstract, stylized manner. In those depictions he appears wise and powerful and compassionate, but not exactly hot.

Anyway, why would you be sent to hell for finding Jesus gorgeous?

If you are speaking just of aesthetics, I'd think it would be a compliment to call him attractive.

And if you are bisexual or gay, God created you with the good taste to be turned on by the models used for Western religious art, and that's fine too.

I don't know if you intended your question to be shocking, but I don't find it shocking at all.

Somehow, I doubt the sincerity of this question.

If you want to fall in love with an artistic conception, fine.

But I think that, considering who Jesus was, and is, your question is quite a bit out of line. At the very least, consider that some on here may view Jesus of Nazareth quite differently than the way you indicate in your question, and please have a little consideration for other peoples' sensibilities.

I am so tired of being asked if I have 'found Jesus' that I have developed some very irreverent responses aimed at putting an end to further query:

well there are two points. First according to the bible and "all its wisdom" (completely sarcastic) we are all going to hell for anything we do basically. The second point is that you are only going to hell if you believe in hell, and if you believe that you are going to go there then you will believe you are going there. so a persons attraction shouldn't matter in their religious views. so even if you are attracted to jesus then so what, it doesn't matter. so in my opinion no you won't go to hell for finding jesus attractive.

1) repent for your sins

2)ask for forgiveness for your sins

3)believe that Jesus died on the Cross as atonement for your sins and

4) accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.

eh, artists have depicted him to be good looking, so it's not your fault. Doubt he actually loked the way he is depicted. especially since he is so often depicted as white. he prolly looked more like bin Laden.
