Not at all. I've heard of people getting worse, though. You really need to improve your math scores. That is the one area in which most people do better than the others. For math it's either right or wrong, there's no real well it could be this or this. I got about a 1500 on my SATs and that's just average. Depending on what your GPA is, you can still get into some universities, but they might look down on it.

I recommend that you try taking the PSAT and looking at the SAT tool book or whatever it is. They can really help to improve your score. These scores are really subpar in every area, math being the worst. Try to practice more, ask teachers for help, I'm sure they'd be more than willing.

Not meaning to be rude or anything, but when people post scores on here below 1300-ish, asking if they're good, I wonder if those are their real scores or if they're just trying to make a joke out of it. When you get your score report back, College Board gives you percentiles. Even someone who scored a 290 on the math section should know that a single digit percentile is not good.

If that is your real score, I definitely suggest that you either get a tutor or buy some SAT practice workbooks and start practicing. I agree with Yamster in that the Writing is really easy to improve on... if you've taken past Pre-Algebra (7th-8th grade math), honestly, there's no excuse for such a low math score. You should probably get Writing and Math SAT workbooks and start practicing!

Not at all; my score is more than double yours, and your math score is atrocious. The one score that you can seriously improve is writing because there are just a few simple rules to learn and then practice a lot. You can bring that score up to the 500s, 600s and possibly 700s or an 800 if it's easy for you. Critical reading can be improved to some extent, and math, well, it seems like your math skills are poor, so maybe to 400...

Those scores are horrible. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I could get that score with my eyes blindfolded (literally: guessing could probably get you that score). I got a 2350 on my SAT (800M/800CR/750CW) which is more than twice your score. Your math score is horrible... these scores are essentially telling you that you are in the lower end of the IQ range.

I'd say if you try really hard and study you may be able to improve your SAT score to 1200...

Not really.... you could do better

That is comparable to score of 15 on the ACT.

If this is your first time taking it try harder and study more for the next test(if you retake it)...try to get a 1200-1500

Not at all. Try to work towards at least a 1500.
