Stolen Garmin Nuvi Can it be traced?

Someone stole my Nuvi out of the car. Can it be traced and found since it actually i8s a GPS device?

    HMMM MY GARMIN(THE WEB SITE ) CAN READ THE DEVICE ON THE COMPUTER (IF IT IS PLUGGED IN )AT THAT POINT IT DOES TRANSMIT!! RIGHT??SINCE I REGISTERED IT THE NUMBER WOULD SHOW UP TO GARMIN WEBSITE AS ALREADY REGISTERED
