- Alex Metric (more of a "techno" sound, but variety never hurt anyone)

- Brand New (Great, GREAT band. Most of their songs are very poetic.)

- Foals (they have a very eclectic sound, very catchy)

- Interpol (My favorite band; try "Obstacle 1" and "All Fired Up)

- Julian Plenti (Paul Banks', from Interpol, side project. Try "Only If You Run.")

- Pinback (some of the members of the Gorillaz are in this band; it's their side project)
