Does UPS move stuff around on weekends?

I don't mean deliver.. but just transit. Thing is my pkg was sent out on thursday from Georgia, I'm here in California.. its supposed to be here by Tuesday but I'm thinking if it is at least in transit over the weekend then it should arrive on Monday.. anyone with experience know about this? Yeah, Im very anxious to get the package >:)

    trucks do move and if the expected date is Tues, it will be there on time. UPS is very good about making its commitments
