Made in China?Cheap Quality?

Can we actually make U.S stop buying chinese stuff?possibly no but we should atleast boycott outside the white house.china's economy is booming especially with the economy and people try to save money but there not really saving anything. They just killed people's cultures.I mean making christian gods and religious things is just really cruel.you dont see buddha made in u.s.a and they make traditional clothing from other countries.really we really to stand outside the white house and boycott. They make fake eggs pretty soon they will make fake gas, fake plants, and pretty soon they will start cloning humans.this is very scary and serious. They dont care if they hurt nature they just want profit

The US and Chinese economies are very closely linked and it's not likely that either country wants to be rid of the other.

If you truly don't want to purchase goods made in China (or elsewhere for that matter) and want to purchase only goods made in the United States, then I recommend that you do some research to find out what those items are and where to buy them. You an start with this website: http://www.madeinusa.org/

I live in China and there are both poor quality and excellent quality items available. Just the same as anywhere else. One typically has a choice on what they want to buy and how much they want to spend. To take away that choice is to take away a fundamental freedom in the US -- the ability of people to choose for themselves.

Also, there are indeed statues of Buddha made in the USA. You are making an assumption that everyone of a certain nation has a certain religious belief. Here is an example of one: http://www.gardecor.com/prod-kl-buddha-statue529

I don't blame you for thinking those things, because yes, we do have fake things that are causing danger to human life here. But to be honest, the point is, if its not China, it's gonna be another country that can provide cheap labour and cheap running costs. And according to recent statistics, people start moving out of China, because running costs are raising. Places like Vietnam and Cambodia are sharing the making of US products as well. If one of those countries became dominant in making products for the US, u think u will say the same thing?

Medias like to dramatized, if you don't dramatized, no one is gonna watch your TV or read your news. You should always keep an open perspective in things.

The point about Christian products made in China, what's the problem with that? I don't quite understand. Christian is just a religion, it shouldn't have a race or nationality issue within it. U can make buddha products in the US if you want to.

If you want a better quality product from China you can buy it. The problem with what we buy that is made in China is the American Companies will not pay to get the good products from China. If it cost the Chinese $1 to make pants for the companies to sell in China a American company will come in and want to have the pants made for them at $.50. The American Companies are so cheap is the reason the Chinese product is so cheap. Go to China and see well made products and then ask them why we get such crappy goods and they will tell you that they can not sell the products made for the US in China. American Companies want the product to cheaply made.

I dont blame you for what you says 'cos its exactly what some of your media wants you to belief. I hope I could send you a roundtrip ticket to go over to China, and preferably to around the world to see 1st first hand with your own eyes.

Do you still remember the good old days when your mom or grandma have to pay over $500 for an ordinary ski jacket? Now you could easily get one for under $50 during promotions which left you $450 in your pocket to buy a lot of other things. Who have given you all the extra spending power? Yes, at the expense of the poor, hardworking Chinese labourers.

The whole world is led by supply and demand pull. You could make Buddha statues in the US but can your price be under $10 with excellent quality? The same theory basically applies to all the products. You could too stop Toyota, Honda, Sony, Hundai, LG, Toshiba selling in the US BUT can you make equally good products at equally good prices? The simple answer is NO. Yes if you could make all the Americans to go along with you to stop all imports from China at once. Where will the US be getting all the fridges, car parts, stationery, household goods, clothings, toys, watches, etc etc etc? You still have to import from other countries like Vietnam or Cambodia in order to maintain your present level of living standard unless you all agree to buying a lousy ski jacket for a price of $500 instead of $50.

American importers and retailers are among the smartest in the world. They've travelled all around the world and have compared prices, quality, reliability and workmanship before they committing to giving the orders to China otherwise the same orders could have so easily gone to Vietnam, Mexico and even Africa.

Glorious Chinese we use prisoners to make things for outsiders. We Chinese buy Made in Japan or Made in USA because they're very good quality. We have a very rich economy and we like BMW and Mercedes-Benz. We use prison labor to make things for exporting. Explain why things not good quality: prisoners are illegal criminals, they do not obey law and work not for money because they work for their food. If we say no you get no food today they become angry and do not make good things.

Better made in China things are made with female children. Because The Party has law for One Child per family so many family give away female child. When we put all female children together we make them work. They are not prisoners, but they are grateful for food and cloth so they work and make good things. That is better made in China things.

    NOT Made In China

Amid growing awareness of food perils, companies that spotlight where ingredients originate are enjoying new demand

Earlier this year, Swiss ingredient maker DSM Nutritional Products launched a "premium" Vitamin C. The marketing gambit: It comes from tidy Scotland instead of sprawling China, which provides 80% of the world's supply. But it was a tough sell. "We were struggling to get the price we thought was justified by the quality," says communications chief Alex Filz.

Made in China ( is a mark affixed to products manufactured in the People's Republic of China, specifically mainland China. While Hong Kong and Macau are special administrative regions of China, most products made in those regions are labeled as "Made in Hong Kong" and "Made in Macau", respectively. Although the name "China" is used by both the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China, the label "Made in China" is generally affixed to products made in the former. Products made in the Republic of China do not use the "Made in China" label. Rather, either "Made in Taiwan" or "Made in R.O.C." is used. Currently it is uncommon to see "Made in P.R.C." Due to recurring worldwide criticism regarding the poor quality of Chinese-made products, the Chinese government aired a series of special documentaries called "Believe in Made in China" to counter the accusations while calling the criticism "demonizing" and unfair.

i dobut it. people wnat things at a cheap prices and obviously since if comapnies can get finished products cheaper in china, why bother having looking elsewhere? In america, we have laws against having cheap labor so its easier to get from a country that doesnt have those laws. saves those huge corporations money.
