umm there are lots of criminals that deserve to have a painfull slow death

murderers

rapists

pedophiles

thieves

all people addicted to drugs (illegal drugs ie. cocaine, meth)

Undoubtedly there are many people alive who deserve to die, however, there are also many people who die who deserved to live. Can you give them that life? Then you shouldn't be so quick to deal out death as a solution. Who among humanity is worthy to judge these cases? Ironically the more worthy a person feels they are, the less worthy they are in actuality. Anyone who is actually worthy to be in a position to fairly decide who should be put to death on a massive scale, would be driven mad by the self doubt and implications of their decisions.
