How can I change from a standard cp student to an honors ap student but junior/senior year? I'm a sophmore now?

I am willing to put any amount of effort into my schoolwork this year. I really want to get into Boston University but by looking at my grades and gpa its not going to happen. I have about a 3.27 unweighted gpa. I have one honors class, but won't be weighted this year because its the school policy. The worst part is that I am in all standard classes except that one class which is spanish. Right now I am completely acing my history class, recently got a c+ in english because I am terrible at english. The other classes have b- to a b+ range. Is there any descriptive study habits I can use to help me become successful? I am willing to go through anything logical that can let me reach my goal by the end of senior year. First qurater just passed and I am a sohpmore now. If I show my teachers that I can get straight A's will I be able to move into honors next year? even though my first qurater grades weren't so good? I am serious so please don't give me a bad answer because this will change my life.
