Can I get some advice on how to clean stitches?

I got jumped this weekend and had to get stitches in my forehead and upper lip. They said I wasn't supposed to get it wet for 48 hours. It has been 48 hours now, and they are both covered with dried blood. I was wondering if someone has some advice for the least painful way to clean them up. My forhead hurts, but I feel like it will be easier than my lip. My lip is swollen to around three times its normal size, and it is super tender. I am supposed to get the stitched out on Wednesday, and I don't want to go in there with the wounds covered in old, dry blood.

I can't gauruntee any way without pain, but dabbing at it with a clean washcloth and some rubbing alcohol might do, just don't put too much pressure on it. My boyfriend cut his arm open pertty bad and he went for a few days without his parents even noticing, it was actually healing up fine being cleaned with just rubbinga alcohol until he ripped it open again on accident. After that he had to get stitches, but that just shows that a cut can stay clean with not a crazy amount of effort though. I mean it's best to play it safe but your body can take a lot.

For the 1st couple of days i like to apply a a million/2 capability peroxide rinse. Pat it on and then pat it off. you do no longer decide directly to rub! whilst it relatively is dry then you definitely can reapply the dressing. additionally if that's going to become itchy you may practice some triple antibiotic ointment to it, yet no longer liberally as you do no longer decide on the region to be too moist. as that's the backside of the foot you do decide on it nicely padded so the friction from walking itself would not pull on the stitches.
