For speeding offence, you should appeal to Traffic Police, OC Violation. Check your summon ticket for the address. However, for a compoundable speeding offence with a fine of $150, this is "considered" the lower offence, which meant not exceeding 30KM/H. You can still try to appeal, but the chance is slim.

A 'Probation' driver (driver who got their licence less than a year) will have 12 point for deduction within a year.

A non-probation driver will have 24 point for deduction within 2 years.

Thus, if you had obtained your licence more than 1 year, you should have 18 points less.

You need to call the number on the ticket as soon as possible. If you don't pay it or go to court King county will put a warrant out. They don't play around. Good thing the cop put down 65 instead of 77 becuase 15 over is wreckless driving and they would have taken away your license. My ticket was 119.00 for 69 in a 65. That was in Snohomish county and King county has higher fines. If this is your first ticket go to court and have it deferred. It will go off your record if you don't get another one in 6 months to a year. Whatever the judge decides. Remember your insurance will go up if it is on your record whether you paid it or not.

You need to go to Sin Ming Drive, LTA and appeal personally. Chances are, will reduce your fine and lower your demerit points. Just try. Cause all my friends who got fine, they went to LTA and explain and their fines were reduced.
