Why do some people feel good when they use dirty words?

It's a coverup for insecurities and an inability to express oneself with the English language.

I'm an editor, and I feel ALL words are valid, even the words that may offend others. They all have a purpose, and I use them occasionally too, to make my point, when no other word will fit, or when I am feeling particularly passionate about what I'm saying.

I don't use them, however, frequently and because it 'feels good'. I know when it is appropriate, and when it isn't. My husband and I use them all the time when we talk to one another. I know I am not offending him.

Sounds like this person has bigger problems than just cursing. I wonder why you've chosen to look at the language that she uses, which would be a symptom more than anything else?

Because it is a no no there is the shock horror reaction, this give her a sense of control.

May be her lack of respect goes back a long way but their is no excuse, if she has issues she should seek help and get the monkeys off her back. She sounds like she needs a health check, there has to be a reason why she is tied all the time.Tread lightly and carefully with this one, what she really needs is a friend. May be she is on drugs?

sometimes it is to express emotion, anger or frustration.

it could also be to insult someone or to replace a word. (i dont swear much but somtimes when i mean to say 'stuff' i say 'crap' e.g, get your crap out of my way) it sounds stupid lol but its habit.

and instead of stalling a conversation they may fill in the gap with a swear word.

Makes you feel like you've expressed more.

A release almost?

Idk for me it's just a habit.

me personally i use cuss every other word cause it helps me think, you drop a cuss word automatically while your thinking of what to say to finish your sentence. thats my answer it just helps the sentences flow, otherwise i would be saying...uuuuuhhhhh all the time.

It's a release of tension.

i think of rattling it f***, *****, dick, boobs, intercourse, azz, all it is solid for yahoo, yet say me, you , hi, extreme-high quality , love ...it is all undesirable words for yahoo, makes you think of what form of persons they have working for them oh look the countless words do no longer look

cause they feel superior to person who they just let down.
