if you look at how they ran toward the endof the year you could put all of the RCR cars in that. Especially Casey Mears. You have to look at Dale Jr, AJ Allmendinger, and David Ragan also. but if I had to choose one it would be Casey Mears if he stays with RCR.

Well, we all know what answer you are looking for. But, you don't always get what you want. My prediction for biggest turn around is Carl Edwards. Winless in 2009, but he'll come back and whip some serious butt. So yeah, it's not going to be Junior. I think there will be improvement, but nothing major. Maybe he'll get up there and be in the battle to make the chase, but it will be close. MAYBE a win. But I just don't see how he can do much better. He'll be entering his 3 year with HMS and he's only had 1 win. That being a fuel mileage race.

Let's look at some statistics, shall we?

Dale Jr. (Past 2 seasons with HMS)

    Top 10% - 29%

    Top 5% - 17%

    Average Finish - 20.9

    DNF's - 15

    Jeff Gordon (Past 2 Seasons)

    Top 10% - 61%

    Top 5% - 40%

    Average Finish - 12.5

    DNF's - 7

    Jimmie Johnson (Past 2 Seasons)

    Top 10% - 59%

    Top %5 - 43%

    Average Finish - 10.75

    DNF's - 2

These are just some basic stats that shows Jr. and his 2 teammates Gordon and Johnson (I excluded the 5 due to the fact that there have been 2 separate drivers the past 2 years) and how they have ran in comparison to Jr. over the past 2 years. I just don't see a comeback coming on.

  • I think Carl Edwards will dominate again. In 2009 he just had so much pressure to beat Jimmie, but it wasn't going to happen with Roush Fenway being as much of a nonfactor as it was. For 2010, Carl gets new teammates and help in the garage with the RPM-Yates merger, on top of the fact that at some point in 2009 Roush-Fenway will be using the new purpose-built FR9 racing engines.

Hopefully Kevin Harvick. He's not my favorite driver, but I like him. He used to be really good, and I think he can rebound next season.

I'm gonna say Jeff Burton and Paul Menard.
