My baby girl has suddenly stopped sleeping well...?

I have a 5 1/2 month old daughter who has always been a good sleeper. At around 4 months she started waking every 2 hours to feed (she is combination fed on breast milk and formula). On the advice of her pediatrician i started her on cereal. once she was more satisfied her sleeping patterns returned to normal, meaning she slept for about 6 hours from 7 30 - 2 am waking for a feed then sleeping through til 5 or 6. All of sudden she is waking every 1 1/2 hours and i am struggling to cope with this sudden change mainly because im unsure of what is causing it. A colleague suggested i try her on something more filling at night than cereal like some veg but it has made no significant difference. When she wakes up i offer her a feed and she generally falls back asleep immediately so i don't think it is hunger that is causing it. It was also suggested she may just be going through a growth spurt or teething but she doesn't appear to be in any discomfort when she wakes up. Im a first time mom and although i've been coping really well i am really starting to feel out of my depth. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's normal fo babies to do that, my son is 7 month old, and slept through the night maybe twice, other than that he wakes up at random times. He used to wake up every 45-60 min every night, and fall asleep immediately after couple of minutes fo breastfeeding. Your daughter is waking up for comfort not because of hunger. If can try to comfort her without feeding, to break the feeding-sleep association. If you are too tired during the night start doing it during the day, as what I have notice, I was feeding my baby for all his naps because it was easier to get him to sleep, once I stopped doing that his sleep improved, sleeping longer but still not through the night. Also make sure she has got plenty activity during the day, so she is tired later! Good luck!

Hola. :) because it consistently is with newborns, it may be something, in spite of the shown fact that it somewhat is possibly no longer something. the guideline of thumb is that in the event that they'r alert and interacting whilst unsleeping (making eye touch, waving their little palms, energetically feeding), they're a-ok. If she's torpid or uninteresting even in the process the day, get her to the ordinary practitioner. it somewhat is something so easy as a gentle an infection, which could be truthfully dealt with yet heavily volatile if left. ninety 5% it somewhat is an basic peasy fix. i might shop waking her each and every 3, 4 hours MAX at night once you're breastfeeding. i've got heard in a distinctive way throughout, yet i'm of the opinion that it somewhat is extra effective to be secure than sorry once you're organising your milk grant, and once you're turning out to be 4 hours of sleep IN A ROW- pfff. you are the envy of the recent Mommy club! finally, as consistently, once you're frightened, call your pediatrician! that's what they are there for. (Me at 3am: "He hasn't pooped in 5 hours!!! Does he have an impacted bowel?? Is he ok? could I deliver him in? i will deliver him in!" record: "No, pass over. it somewhat is commonly used. Please basically attempt to sleep.") sturdy luck, and congratulations!
