    Italian is always sexy...

Try spaghetti ... For sauce: saute diced up onions, garlic, bell peppers, celery, fresh basil, mushrooms (optional) in a skillet with red wine and olive oil till the veggies soak up all of it...

In a pot throw in some cans of crushed and pureed tomatoes... season to taste if needed... add some wine and the veggies and let simmer a while for flavor (2-3 hours simmer).

For meatballs... use Italian seasoning and ground beef... roll into golf ball sized balls.. brown in skillet then bake for 30mins at 400 degrees... after done throw into sauce...

Then you can make some garlic bread... a light desert... and set a buncha candles and set the mood :)

The actual meal won't matter as much as the little things like candlelight, etc.

Once when we were first married, I remember coming home after a hard day. My wife had strung patio lights all over the back patio and in the trees, had some classical dinner music playing, a bottle of wine, flowers and candles. I think the meal was something like spaghetti...nothing fancy, but the atmosphere was fun.

If you're looking for something kind of fun....I called my husband one day at work and asked him what time he thought he'd be home. When he asked why, I told him he was getting butt that night. (I made a slow roasted pulled pork - from a pork butt). He came earlier than usual that night. LOL

But it really is good and super easy, since it cooks low and slow in the oven. And he'll get hit with the wonderful smell when he walks in the door.

What's his favorite? Make that. To add the romantic touch, spread an immaculately clean cloth on the table, use cloth napkins, have some candlelight and flowers, and wear something just a little "sexy" looking.

Porcupines with potatoes in the pressure cooker.
