Ubuntu installation problem - "error: dependency not satisfiable"?

I'm installin stufff on my new Ubuntu 9.10, but everytime i try to install things like adobe flashplayer or opera, i can't do anything because it says "error: dependency is not satisfiable". i was really thinking of moving to linux from windows but this is turning out to be quite a hassle. how do i deal with this?

    Ubuntu has package management program called Synaptic that you use to install the software and programs. Too many people tell you to down load this and download that and most of those you have to have a knowledge of console commands to install it. This is the hard way, At the top open the system menu on the right, go down to second item,probably admin, open and find Synaptic and open it. It will require your user password since Ubuntu disables the root user. Once open in the search box type Ubuntu Restricted and check to install it, then click apply. This will install Adobe flash player and other proprietary files that can not be installed by Ubuntu, but only by the user.

    Synaptic is where the user can install all the software related to Linux. I answer this question at least five times a week. Wish you the best experience with your Linux operating system.

    Estas dependencias son que si instalaste un .deb Ubuntu ocupa otros archivos que dependen de las otras, y este programa ocupa otros archivos, la mejor opcion es instalarlos en una terminal buscando en google el programa y a la par sudo para buscar el comando solo abris una terminal y pegas el comando como sudo install...

    You should have internet connection, then use apt-get command as:

    apt-get install programname

    If you have problem using internet try to collect the entire repository on your harddisk. One time trouble to collect.
