Dealing with depression..?
Okay.. so secretly i always think about suicide..
I used to attempt suicide once every few months.
Lately, i just keep it a secret and suck it up.
But everyday i feel like it gets worse and worse.
Sometimes i just get on here to substitute for the depression, or i draw, write poetry or just write in my diary.
Any other helpful solutions?
& this answer wont help:
-Get help, ya i already have seen therapist. they dont work for me.

Well I sometimes feel the same way, and I would suggest that you start some sort of extracurricular activity, maybe a sport or a musical instrument. These can be great things to channel your emotions into. It might also help if you have a really really close friend who you can talk to about it.

The first thing I do, is look to see if there is a cause. Something other then a chemical imbalance. Usually it is something that the person either is, or isn't doing, and this simple change can make a huge difference. Sometimes it's just a matter of focusing on something you do well. Sometimes it's simply a matter of helping others and seeing how happy that makes them. The bottom line though amigo, is what you fill your heart and mind with. If you feed it with junk, then you will find that depression looms because you are not treating yourself healthy. Just like when one eats junk food all the time, and avoids healthy food choices. The bottom line though, how is your walk with God? Are you doing all to bring Him glory? Are you allowing Him to work in and through you? Or are you blocking him by your choices? if I didn't know you personally, I wouldn't ask these questions, but I know you, and I know where your problems begin. Once you get rid of the junk, and focus on the healthy, things will turn around. If there is a Celebrate Recovery program in a Church near you, I strongly suggest you start attending. You will find that it will be a big help.

Think about how you want your life to be. You're probably focusing on the bad, the things you feel you have no control over. You have to see yourself as you want to be. Do you want to be happy? What would make you happy and how would you get there? Focus on the positive. You'll never be happy if you only think about what is wrong. It may take meeting someone who changes your life to make you feel like life is worth something again but just know that it IS worth it. Poetry can draw you into a dark place, you have to stop living through words and start living period.

Obviously you haven't found the right therapist for you, or the proper meds. Go to a support group where there are people going through the same situation. I hope you find what you are looking for. Sometimes you just have to fight for yourself.

Depression can be tough to deal with. Anti Depressant Medication is not a magical cure, but they do help. Your family doctor can help you with which ones are best for you
