recently painted by children playing - insert joke here - but needs to be cleaned off now that it's dry

would soap and water work? or terpentine?

It should just scrape/peel right off....

If not, use a mildly abrasive backed sponge and soap/water.

Don't use turpentine as it may ruin the color of your siding

It should wash off with water, and just a little elbow grease. Vinyl siding is not very porous. And paint does not adhere to it too well.. If you have to scrub a little harder, dont worry. Most siding is solid color, thru and thru.
