St Johns Wort and BC Pills?
Hello. I took st johns wort once a day for 4 days. I am also taking birth control pills (junel fe 1/20). I am concerned that my birth control pill will reduce the effectiveness of my pill. Will taking St. Johns Wort once a day for 4 days reduce the effectiveness of my pill? Thank you.

Yes, these pills should not be taken together, however 4 days is very little. SJW takes 4 weeks to kick in so you are probably alright.

I agree that you should contact your pharmacist plus an additional one or two (for opinions). In the mean time, use a back up method. Most Birth Control pills specifically tell you that St. Johns Wort will reduce it effectiveness. Good luck.
