Why does Yahoo! Answers gripe about proper grammar and punctuation?
When I answer a question in Yahoo! Answers, it will pop up little balloons to the right of where I am typing and say things like "Hmm...it looks like you have a lot of punctuation." Or it will say, "Oops!looks like you have x misspelling(s)," when what I have just typed is a Proper Noun, like a person's name. It will also ask about my "CAPS LOCK" key, when I'm not shouting at anybody, but it is the only means of showing emphasis. (We don't have the use of italics or boldface or underlining to indicate emphasis.)
If I get a sensible answer from someone who really know something about the programming of Yahoo! Answers, the five points asking this question will cost me will be worth it.
I have already graduated from Community College, (in response to the respondent who said "they want you to get good grades") and while there was asked by the Senior Instructor Business English if I would grade for her and tutor in Business English, so my grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills are not in question. I use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation when responding to questions, but Y!A seems to b*tch about it.
Okay, apparently nobody "gets" my question. Let me rephrase it this way:
I already use correct spelling and proper grammar and appropriate punctuation and suitable capitalization when needed, and yet, Yahoo! Answers still seems to have a problem. Now can I get some useful responses?

The answer is in the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines:
"Keep your questions succinct, but be descriptive enough to help people understand what you're asking. Correct spelling and grammar help people find your questions, and you'll get better answers when others can clearly make out what you're asking."
"Also not welcome are belligerence, insults, slurs and generally objectionable speech." (Caps Lock)
This stuff is obviously written by lawyers.

Yahoo Answers does this
about proper grammar and
punctuations
because when post a question
they want people to post so others will understand
What you can do to ignore this balloon
pop it, click the x in the corner
I mean when you see this hmm it looks like a lot of punctuation
click on the small x at the top of this
same with the did you leave the caps locked on
close this out too

Hi, Being a level 5,you should know by now how Yahoo operates there business. They changed everyone`s home page to their liking ,which in my opinion sucks. You can not move your cursor without hitting the goofy things they have on there. I use my old home page and try to stay a way from the new one.You have to have a lot of PATIENCE ! while you use Yahoo.I use there feedback quite a lot. Good Luck

This is an American site as I remember. As a UK member I find it hilarious that it used to tell me I have spelt their Presidents name wrong.
