Should we invade Somalia since al-Qaida is currently training there?
If so, do we stay in Afghanistan or withdraw to fight in Somalia?
"Training camps in the lawless nation of Somalia are attracting hundreds of foreigners, including Americans, and Somalis recruited by a local insurgent group linked to al-Qaida, according to local and U.S. officials. American officials and private analysts say the camps pose a security threat far beyond the borders of Somalia, including to the U.S. homeland."

If "we" is to mean the USA, no, because the USA just cannot afford to invade another country. Osama bin Laden threaten to bankrupt the USA and he is seeing the threat materializing.

Invade? No. But those training camps might be worth a cruise missile or two, just as we might think hard about using satellites and antisubmarine patrol aircraft to look for Somali pirates and vector in fire from appropriate weapons platforms.
How about we stop sending the president to do the US Olympic Committee's job for them and cutting way down on his air time smooching the butts of foreign politicians? So far, Obama is working hard on building up as many airmiles on Air Force One as the Clintons did flying to places where, strictly speaking, the President of the United States is not required to be.
Considering the drain on the US military every time a president flies outside the country (2 look-alike 747s, either of which could be Air Force One, many C-17 transports to carry the Presidential helicopters, various Secret Service vehicles and "the Beast" armored limo and even MORE support vehicles), if Obama cut down on the gratuitous worldwide travel, it'd pay for some quiet operations against any camps located in Somalia. We're talking not only millions of dollars in fuel and supplies, but diverting scarce military assets from war operations every time the President flies out of country.

Al Qaeda is not training there. The group "linked" to them is the Al Shabaab. They're a different group. There's no point in invading Somalia, America should concentrate on its own country and leave others alone for a change.

Been there, done that, the Democratic President Bill Clinton failed miserably, he listened to the Democratic Party Leaders, not his Generals.
The Democrats are the cause of the Somalia problems.
So will Obama fall into the same trap, of listening to the PArty Leaders and NATO or will he grow a backbone change the Rules of Engagement, actually listen to the boots on the ground and His Generals.
Only time will tell...

sure they might desire to, even with the actuality that for me, i might only refuse them get entry to to our united states. you notice, in the event that they have been tried for top treason (an offense punishable by existence imprisonment without parole - as putting ceased to be a punishment for treason in 1998), then shall we are saying the trial lasts 3-5 months, meaning a value to the tax payer of around £20 million (do no longer forget approximately the bleeding heart liberals might insist on criminal help additionally for those 'undesirable dis-illusioned youths') and then they're chanced directly to blame, costing the tax payers (you and me) a further £30,000 in line with 12 months till they leave this mortal coil. So on a similar time because it could be very superb to bang them up - i might like them to be deported right away back to whence they got here (the place little question they gained't have the comparable get entry to to human rights law as they might right here) and enable them to be dealt with there. no longer suited i understand, even yet it is the final I have been given.

first thing is first... Afghanistan/Pakistan is the leadership...
but Somalia should also be addressed, but you can't take out every al-qaida nest at the same time. We don't have the manpower for that.

Right on, maybe if the US would institute the military draft again, with no exceptions including women, maybe these " war mongering" people would no be so inclined to see others be sent off to die.
It's all too easy to be in favor of war when you know damn well you're not going to be part of it.

No, but a few nighttime sorties by the stealth fighters would do wonders.
