What freeware can I download to create rap beats?

I want to be able to add different sounds, adjust tempo, save, retrieve and modify projects. Should be spyware free.

Update:

I tried Frooty Loops but the demo version doesn't let you save your work, so it can't be accessed. Can't afford to buy right now (I'm a teacher, it's for the kids I work with).

Update 2:

What are "loops" anyway? The actual sounds themselves?

    I agree with the people above me who said Fruity Loops, even though the more popular term for it would be FL Studio. Look up either a legit (trial) version or a cracked one.

    Audacity (look it up on download.com) It's pretty good. You may have to do some extra work though since it doesn't come with loops. You can download free loops at "free-loops.com"
