I support it. Afghanistan is where the real terrorists/extremists are. Bush kept us in Iraq for too long and it was completely pointless. The goal from day one was to avenge the victims of 9/11/01 and Bush has failed. Obama knows what he's doing and whoever opposes it can feel free to complain but what good is going to do them? I complained about Bush for 8 years and still did whatever the hell he felt like doing. I'm completely with Obama on this one.

that man says and does what he wants without respect for the American people. I was hoping he was going to be a great president! :( but he has failed. He said he wouldn't send troops, then would, then wouldn't and now he has made a 1/2 *** decision to send just enough troops to keep it going but not accomplish anything. Send enough to get it done or pull em out. Does anyone else think its odd he was concerned about the 30 billion dollar price tag to send troops when his stimulus and health care plans are going to cost over 3 trillion combined? I guess he is just turned out to be very all over the board and confusing. The last 4 months over there have been the deadliest so far in the history of the war. just wished he would send more to back up my friends over there :(

Actually the troops in Afghanistan needs to be pulled out but there must be a situation where they should not be send again after pull out.
To achieve that time Obama needs to send more troops.

What did they call it the "commercial protection stress complicated" or something. it may desire to be working in Iraq and thank goodness for those detrimental human beings with the aid of actuality the undesirable person men been appearing up over in Afghanistan and returned yo can say those detrimental human beings. you already know besides as me it particularly is the "mini surge" in the unique conflict or the sole conflict and the greater advantageous the greater advantageous suited. at as quickly as they gained't have the means to return returned out of Iran or Pakistan and that with any success wil be that. yet did yo particularly think of of there's a huge difference. ascertain out the economics of the two activities, comparable. Bout the main suited massive difference now could be abortion and weapons, relax the comparable. The deal is of the $4 BILLION that the 35,000 lobbyist grant our stable Congress each and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, it particularly is divided approximately EVEN. Have a stunning 2009!

less troops have died in afghanistan and Iraq each year than in car accidents in the USA
it may be safer for the troops to be in a combat zone than on our public roads.
i say, send in as many as we need, get the job done and then bring them home as heroes to not only The US but the rest of the world.
the terrorists are attacking Pakistan and India right now, they need to be stopped.

I see an extremely gloomy future of Afghanistan and America's economy! i think obama is now slipping from his promises of ending the war! as a resident of pakistan i cant see even a single positive point of sending army! Even after America has confessed that this war can't be won by military operation, even then America isn't ready to withdraw!!

I don't like it at first, but I realized that I thought so because Bush left us feeling negative about it. The truth is, he's doing what we should have done in the first place. If 9-11 was a few weeks ago, everybody would be supporting this. He's doing what we should have done. I have a good feeling that Bin Laden will be caught or killed soon.

I do not support Obama's war. In campaigning, a big platform of his was to end this in the middle east, not send any more troops and bring our soldiers home. I feel lied to and used for my vote.

It will probably be the fastest way to get everything over with, but not the best way in my opinion.
Instead of sending 30K of our troops, why not just increase the budget to pay for 30,000 Afghanis to be recruited and trained?

Personally, I'm not too happy about it because I kept thinking that the war would be over soon, but this seems another way of increasing its length. Oh well...hopefully Obama sees an end in sight.
