Does USPS, UPS, or FedEX leave your pacage at the door?

I need help between the differrence of these delivery companies. I always get packages, but get messed up with which is which?

And what does each do at the door?

I know one of them leaves a notice.

It depends if the sender requests a signature. If no signature is needed I believe any of them will leave it at your door. If a signature is required then each one of them will leave a notice on the door if nobody is there. They don't care if it's your neighbor that signs for it though. I have had other people sign for me, they don't really care (though they should) who signs it.

All of them will if they don't have orders that signatures are required. I have signed authorizations for both FedEx & UPS to leave items at the door. To get and fill out one of those authorizations just ask any driver.
