What is cap and trade and what will it do to us?

It sounds like a tax to me. A fee charged by the government for no reason at all.

Will it help the US or hurt the US economy?

Will it effect the US or global environment?

It will tax utilities and industry for "carbon production" which will increase cost of their product. The price of everything (food, energy, consumer goods, transportation, etc) will go up. It will cost you and me about ten percent of our income (if we actually have a job). The benefits? if you can call them that, will be that the government will subsidize green power production and conservation (after they have skimmed off their "take". The result will be lost jobs, lower standard of living, and solar power panels on the roof that produce electricity for a net cost (not savings) of twice as much as it costs now.

Steal money from you for Al Gore , Goldman Saks, and GE for carbon credits.

They need to stop it because Global Warming is a hoax and fairy tale.
